Hello friends,

Gryphon solo crossed the finish line off Bermuda's St. David Light at about 12:33 pm yesterday to complete the 2008 running of the Newport-Bermuda race.

Although we sailed hard, the upwind conditions did not favor the beamy hull of GS and we experienced a lot of adverse current in unexpected places that slowed our progress and did not allow us to defend our open division title won in 2006. Oh well... You can't win them all I guess so it is now time to relax and enjoy Bermuda, which in my view is very close to paradise.
